Type 2 diabetes is so very rare among children in the US that the government can’t make any official estimate of the numbers, yet eating disorders among children at increasingly younger ages (of all genders) are rampant. This focus on weight does no good and all sorts of harm. When you equate weight and health and behaviors, you’re not helping, you’re being hateful.
